Faulkner County, Arkansas

It has been a busy couple of months in the county. Chip seal season has started and we continue to work to repair damage from spring storms. The new victim services building has just been renovated and occupied by the prosecuting attorney's office. A new parking lot was added as well. A new parking lot is also being completed near the museum and juvenile courts. More excitement was in the air with the recent announcement that Hewlett-Packard will build an office complex in Conway with 1,200 jobs. This is a big boost for our economy. It was a great accomplishment for the Conway area. A big kudos goes to Brad Lacy and his team at the chamber. Another big project in the northern part of the county is the 36" natural gas pipeline that will go from Conway County, AR to Helena, AR. This project crosses our northern townships. It is an 850 million dollar project. A number of local contractors and individuals are working on it. This has helped our local economy during some difficult times.Â
Jeff, Paulette, and I wish you and your families a Happy Independence Day.
